When it comes down to entertainment and places to go these days, they are starting to get a little thin and more often than not, people have to travel miles out of their way just to have some entertainment.
One of the biggest problems is that people don’t use the places that they may already have and by not using them, these places end up closing and a lot of the time the buildings are then left to rot!
Cinemas Need Your Input And Custom
One place which always seems to be hit hard these days are cinemas. With the rising cost of tickets and that films are released on to DVD, Blu-Ray and the online rental services so quickly has a massive affect on your local cinema.
This is one of the big reasons that I support my local cinema, by reviewing the films that it is showing to help show off what the cinema is showing.
Not only is it great to have a local cinema, where you don’t have to travel miles to see a film, but it also helps bring together a community of film fans to see great films.
If the cinemas go, then not only will towns lose visitors, but in my point of view, it will be the loss of something wonderful, the idea of sharing a movie with like-minded fans and that time of coming out of a film talking about it and have discussions.
Let’s face it, it’s not the same watching it on a TV on your own, the big screen is an amazing atmosphere.
Theatres Keep The Live Entertainment Show Alive
I’ve always been a big than of then theatre, not only is it another place that people can get together and the chance to enjoy the live side of events.
You will have seen that I have reviewed several theatre events lately at my local theatre, the Rhyl Pavilion, a gorgeous theatre that has recently had the likes of Mrs Browns Boys, which was a sell-out event and had the public queuing up for hours for tickets.
Theatres have a long history of being a place for many events and the Rhyl Pavilion is no different, from plays to big charity shows, from small unknown artists to big names.
As with the cinemas, we need to keep these places open and instead of sitting in front of a TV, we should be out enjoying ourselves with friends laughing and socialising with those that appreciate nights out.
Let’s not just go to a pub or restaurant, we should go to shows, OK money may be tight, but don’t you want to enjoy being out with friends and keeping places open that are so much enjoyment to be at.
Don’t Lose Them Use Them
So it all boils down to one thing, we all need to support our local entertainment communities, by using them often and telling other about them, they will keep going, after all, we don’t want to live in a community where no one ever sees each other except through a computer screen!
