There probably comes a time when we all think to ourselves, “Oh how I would love to have a superpower, so I could ….”, so after reading The Daily Prompt on the WordPress Blog today, I thought, now this is something I’d thought about many times!

A Secret Superpower
We all know about those Superpowers that comic book characters have, flight, strength, invisibility or even the power of a God such as Thor, but what about having something a little different, hmmmm my mind started ticking over on what hasn’t already been done, now that’s a hard one!
Thinking of how the world is today with the way there is so much going on with those starving, countries hit by freak weather and also those countries that are torn apart by war and dictatorships, my thoughts slowly moved more and more towards something that would have something to do with these.
Ok having the powers of Superman would be great to fly from place to place helping would be great, maybe teleportation would be very helpful in moving large quantities of supplies from one place to another.
But then again, I was thinking of something that hadn’t been done, boy oh boy, it’s hard to find a superpower that hasn’t been done over the years, each time I came up with an idea, boom! It had already been done.
So I gradually went through different scenarios and what I could choose to have, it took me a while, but then it suddenly came to me, a superpower which we all have already, one which many don’t use, one which can be used in such a way that it is more powerful than any other.
The power of giving!
Yes that’s it, we all do it, some more than others, we do it at those special times, such as Birthdays, Christmas and times when we need to show our love and compassion for one another.
So yes, a superpower that everyone has, the ability to simply give something to someone else, no matter how big or how small.
What is more important to those that have lost everything? The gift of being given something to replace what they have lost, from a child’s toy to the food in their mouths, so there you are.
It may not seem like a superpower, but to those that are the receiving, it is a wonderful superpower and one which they appreciate and are thankfully for.
So what would your superpower be?
