Notora, a band from North Wales, had an amazing debut single with ‘Stay’. They now follow on from that amazing single with ‘Brother’.

Wow, what an amazing second single from Notora ‘Brother’ has amazing guitar riffs and rhythms and vocals throughout the whole track. Listening to the track, it is such a catchy tune, and upbeat.

My own interpretation of this track, is one of battling with demons, and choosing which way to go, and the way to go is not be eaten up by these demons, by saying “who are you now?” “Weighing me down”. Then choosing whether you want to win or lose.

My absolute favourite lyrics of this track are
“Brother, choose to win or lose”
“Coz I’m gonna fight another day, Brother.”
These are absolute genius lyrics, and ones that really resonate with you, and you really engulf yourself in the track, and think about what you are fighting for and who with, and starting a new chapter, leaving behind what is “weighing me down”.

The melody of this track has so many musicians influences, but ones that come to the forefront of my mind are The Queens Of The Stone Age, with elements of The Clash.

I found the picking up of the tempo was an amazing addition to what is already an amazing track, and really captures to racing to get to that new chapter, and starting anew.

I am extremely impressed with ‘Brother’, as I honestly thought that ‘Stay’ was astounding, and would not be beaten. But this track has gone absolutely above and beyond.

The guys of Notora, work extremely hard, and it really resonates when they are producing amazing tracks like ‘Stay’ and ‘Brother’. I am really looking forward to catching the guys at a live gig in the future to hear these tracks live. Also to have an EP out to listen to.

This North Wales band is one band to look out for, and I see great things happening for them . I wish you all well Dylan, Sam and Darren, tracks like these are absolutely amazing.
