With a fully lived life, Adrian has worked in both the military and served in the healthcare industry. No matter what calling, the life he has chosen is one of protection and care. This comes across in his trilogy, for there is an exploration of a vividly constructed world, with fully fleshed-out characters. So much compassion is shown over the course of the trilogy, one that has a surprisingly large number of allusions to what our world is currently going through.
Vvardenfell begins with a bit of tragedy. Immediately the world he constructs feels so real. To navigate a world with an unknown epidemic definitely hits very close to home for literally billions of people. All the people lost due to the ongoing current pandemic helps to inform the reader whilst taking in this exquisitely detailed account. Over the course of the past two years, a sense of love for each other does seem to have taken shape. Within Vvardenfell Adrian explores this premise, showing that the ancient elements that tie people together, of family and friendship, prevail regardless of external circumstances.
A clever work, Adrian brings together elements of the past, present, while offering a prospect of hope in the future despite tragedy. Vvardenfell proves to be one of those books that lingers in the mind long after the story is over, proving Adrian Lee Zuniga to be an exceptionally gifted and compassionate storyteller.
