The Sword Experience held its first venue in Europe at the Cressing Temple, an ancient monument situated between Withal and Braintree in Essex, close to the villages of Cressing and White Notley, it’s a picturesque background to those that took part in the four and a half hour long event. The ancient barns were the background for those who wanted to not only corps swords with the Highlander himself but to get the feel of filming in a dramatic location.

Adrian Paul Chats to Blazing Minds

I asked Adrian what was the incentive to tour The Sword Experience and he told me, “Years ago people asked me to do Sword Videos or seminars, but the time wasn’t right. Now with the advent of so many shows that have different sword work The Sword Experience is timely because we bring people a fight that they may have seen before, in a location that is like a film set. It gives people a workout, something they may have always wanted to try, and makes them feel like a star for a day.

With Adrian having the sword skills that many of have seen him use, I wondered what people can expect from the tour, “Discipline, technique, the difference between real and screen fighting, teamwork, a good workout and a day to remember.

Being a fan of Highlander I just couldn’t resist asking him about the show and what he misses about it, Adrian told me he misses, “The constant work. Working with great people on successful Tv Show.

Could we see a cameo for Adrian in the new Highlander movie? “No, probably not. It is a remake of the first movie and my character wasn’t around.“, now that’s a real shame.

I was interested in learning more about The Peace fund that Adrian is involved in and asked if you could let the Blazing Minds now a little more about it, Adrian told me, “Peace stands for Protect Educate, Aid Children Everywhere. I started it when I saw the effect someone like me could have on children. I had always wanted to help kids because I believe we all need to be guided in life. So it began with the desire to create our own programs, to help children of all walks of life and over the years of partnerships with many charities around the world, it has developed into connecting charities together, to help tackle the insurmountable odds that many children face.

Adrian went on to say, “That is why we create Peace Fund Radio that I host weekly. The greatest feeling on earth is watching the effect you have when you bring hope to a child, to allow them something they may never thought possible, or watch a child breathing life in a unit you helped install.

So what’s next for Adrian after his Sword Experience Tour, Adrian told me, “I am hoping to direct and produce my first feature next year, and my company has another film in funding that I may play one of the leads. I also have another show that seems to be going into production. Who knows exactly when. Life is ever changing.

A massive thank you to Adrian Paul for taking time out to chat with me. If you want to find out more about The Sword Experience then check out the official website at http://theswordexperience.com/
