An uplifting collaboration combines Colette Van Sertima’s soulful vocals with Porky Paul’s distinctive musical personality, delivering a powerful reminder to embrace life, love, and every opportunity to be happy. Some songs are meant to make you dance. Others are meant to make you think. Every once in a while, a song comes along that encourages you to do both. “Live For The Moment,” the new single from Colette Van Sertima with Porky Paul, is a celebration of living life without hesitation, appreciating the present, and refusing to let yesterday's disappointments steal tomorrow's happiness. With her unmistakable presence, glamorous style, and soulful musical identity, Colette Van Sertima continues to establish herself as an artist who understands that great music is about more than entertainment. It's about making people feel something. And with Porky Paul joining her on this latest release, “Live For The Moment” introduces a collaboration built around a message that couldn't be more relevant. A Song About Living, Not Just Existing Life moves quickly. Opportunities come and go, relationships change, and the moments we sometimes take for granted become the memories we treasure most. That's the emotional territory explored by “Live For The Moment.” At its heart, the single carries a simple but meaningful philosophy: life isn't something we should continually postpone while waiting for the perfect circumstances. There will always be challenges. There will always be uncertainty. But there will also be reasons to celebrate, opportunities to love, and moments worth remembering. Rather than dwelling on life's complications, the song's message encourages listeners to embrace possibility and rediscover the excitement of being alive. It's a sentiment that speaks across generations, cultures, and musical tastes. Colette Van Sertima: A Woman Who Commands Attention Colette Van Sertima possesses the kind of visual presence that immediately makes an impression. With her striking platinum-blonde hair, glamorous presentation, and confident personality, she understands the importance of creating an artistic identity that audiences remember. But beyond the image is an artist with a passion for connecting with people through music. Van Sertima's artistic appeal lies in her ability to combine sophistication with warmth, presenting herself as a performer who celebrates individuality, confidence, and self-expression. “Live For The Moment” provides another opportunity for her to communicate that philosophy through her music. The single's message is particularly meaningful in a world where people are constantly reminded of what they haven't accomplished, what they've lost, or what they should be doing next. Colette's message is refreshingly different: appreciate what you have, embrace who you are, and don't forget to enjoy the journey. Porky Paul Joins the Celebration The addition of Porky Paul gives “Live For The Moment” a collaborative identity that sets it apart as a shared musical statement. Music has always thrived on creative partnerships, particularly when artists bring different personalities and perspectives to the same project. For Colette Van Sertima and Porky Paul, the collaboration centers on a universal idea: the importance of celebrating life while we have the opportunity. Their names appear together prominently on the single's artwork, presenting the release as a partnership rather than simply another entry in a solo artist's catalog. The result is a project with an inviting message and an identity designed to capture attention. A Musical Legacy That Continues to Grow Colette Van Sertima is no newcomer to the world of dance music. Her musical history includes the iconic O.T. Quartet club anthem “Hold That Sucker Down,” along with her own house favorite “Life's A Bitch.” Her songwriting credentials also extend to Tina Turner's “Open Arms,” featured on Turner's 2004 collection All the Best.  That impressive musical background gives “Live For The Moment” another dimension. This is an artist who has experienced different chapters of the music industry, witnessed changing trends, and continued to pursue her creative ambitions. The new single, released July 10, 2026, through Porky Paul Productions, brings her expressive vocals together with contemporary house production.  And the excitement doesn't end with the original recording. The release also features remixes from Ruff Loaderz, whose radio, extended, and dub interpretations offer different approaches to the dancefloor, while Blakk Habit introduces a UK Garage treatment that brings another rhythmic dimension to the song.  Together, the versions demonstrate the versatility of the composition and its potential to connect with different dance music audiences. More Than a Dance Record Perhaps the most appealing thing about “Live For The Moment” is that its message extends well beyond the nightclub. It speaks to anyone who has spent too much time worrying about the future, regretting the past, or waiting for permission to enjoy life. It's about taking chances, making memories, finding happiness, and recognizing that some of life's most extraordinary experiences happen when we stop overthinking and simply allow ourselves to live. For Colette Van Sertima, the song represents another chapter in a career defined by musical expression and an unmistakable personal identity. For Porky Paul, it is an opportunity to bring his production talents together with a vocalist whose musical history spans generations of dance music. And for listeners, it's an invitation to turn up the volume, leave their worries behind, and remember that life is happening right now. “Live For The Moment” is available now on major streaming platforms.
