Martin Lawrence and Will Smith have flown into the top spot of this week’s Official Film Chart with Bad Boys: Ride or Die. After three weeks hovering at the top end of the chart, the film lifts three this week to finally overtake Inside Out 2 (2) and claim the week’s best-selling film in the UK.

The sequel to Bad Boys For Life and the fourth instalment of the Bad Boys series of films starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence enjoys its new peak position following its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.

Animated sequel Despicable Me 4 holds at Number 3, while disaster film Twisters drops to Number 4. The Bikeriders is holding tight at its Number 5 peak.

This week’s highest new entry is M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, Trap, starring Josh Hartnett (6).  A father and his daughter attend a pop concert, but the gig is being used as a front to weed out a serial killer. Surrounded by armed police, rigged security cameras and of course the danger of ‘The Butcher’, will anyone make it out safely?

This week sees all three of the original The Lord of the Rings trilogy land in the Top 10 for the first time; The Fellowship of the Ring holds at Number 7 again, while The Two Towers earns a new peak at Number 9, and The Return of the King rises three to Number 10.

Finally, Dune: Part Two rebounds back into the Top 10, up seven places this week (8).
