If you’ve been watching the superb Bulletproof on Sky One then you may be pleased to not only hear that the first season is heading to DVD this July, but also that there is confirmation of Bulletproof Season Two!
What can be only be described as an explosive new crime show Bulletproof that hit Sky One with a bang, starring the powerhouse pair Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters as the ultimate crime-fighting team. The show which came to an end last night has proved extremely popular with fans is now set for its DVD debut courtesy of Acorn Media International.
Giving a fresh spin on the classic cop-buddy genre, this brand new drama is a game changer. Loaded with high octane action, sharp humour and a lot of fun, Bulletproof crashes on to DVD 23 July 2018.
Acclaimed actor, writer and director Noel Clarke (Kidulthood, Star Trek: Into the Darkness) and chart-topping rapper turned respected actor Ashley Walters (Top Boy, Hustle), lead the action as two undercover cops tasked with bringing down the East End’s toughest criminals in this original series directed by Nick Love (The Sweeney, Football Factory). The stellar support cast includes Clarke Peters (The Wire) as Pike’s father and Lindsey Coulson (EastEnders) as lead officer Sarah Tanner.
Bishop (Clarke) and Pike (Walters) are the tenacious dynamic duo; cool, whip-smart, unapologetically streetwise and tough. Pike is the stable half of the two, a family man from a good background, charming and widely admired. Bishop, on the other hand, is unpredictable, full of fire and a walking time bomb. Together they chase down hardened criminals in London’s East End, facing life-and-death situations that test not only their abilities but the strength of their bond.
Bulletproof is a stylish, witty, gritty drama is filled with a riveting new case in each episode, which feed into a bigger series-long mystery. As Bishop and Pike track down a notorious criminal who has returned to the area, nothing can prepare them for how close to home the case is about to hit.
Bulletproof Gets a Second Season
With the show being a powerhouse of performances and fans loving every moment of the series, lots of people have been asking for a second season of Bulletproof and it was recently announced that the show will be heading back for a second season. Here at Blazing Minds we are very excited about the news from Vertigo Releasing and can’t wait for Bulletproof 2 when the show returns to Sky One, no doubts that pulling in 1.59M viewers, making it the biggest Sky One audience of the year, certainly helped the show to return.
