Fantastic news for fans of the crime-fighting comedy duo of the future as Sky has released the official trailer for Code 404 series 3, a Sky Original coming to Sky Comedy and streaming service NOW?from 4 August.
On limited duties pending an investigation into their last case, Detective Inspectors Major and Carver find themselves at an all-time low. So, when one of their own within SIU is murdered, Major and Carver become hellbent on solving the case and proving their worth. But it’s bigger than they thought… They discover they’re dealing with a twisted serial killer whose sights are now set on them. With lives at stake, they need to work together, but tensions run high and fractures in their partnership begin to worsen. Can they hunt them down before it’s too late?
Code 404 Series 3 welcomes Daniel Mays and Stephen Graham as the AI-enhanced “supercop” DI John Major, his long-suffering partner DI Roy Carver, and Anna Maxwell Martin, Rosie Cavaliero, Michelle Greenidge, Richard Gadd, Amanda Payton, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Michael Armstrong. This series also introduces to the cast Vinette Robinson as Professor McAllister and Daniel Lawrence Taylor as journalist Searle.
Code 404 is co-produced by Kudos, part of Banijay UK, and Water & Power Productions, in association with Sky Studios, and is executive produced by Phil Temple and Sam Myer, and Tom Miller as series producer. The series is written by Daniel Peak and directed by Al Campbell. The series was commissioned by Jon Mountague, Director of Comedy at Sky Studios for Zai Bennett, MD of Content at Sky UK & Ireland. NBCUniversal Global Distribution handles international sales on behalf of Sky Studios.
