My experiences with covid:

The tour – struggling to avoid COVID while also trying to have my first successful tour.- spoiler, I’m healthy, I’ve been in quarantine for 20 days.- I live in downtown Seattle. an epicentre of US coronavirus.

In late Feb I went on my first North American tour. big life dream of mine. I was touring to promote my new album INFLUENCE which has been doing well ironically.

I stopped in Seattle, Portland, SF, Hollywood, NYC, Toronto every single city I visited became a hot spot the moment I left. I was on the road for 12 days. toward the end, it was becoming evident that we might not be able to come home because they were starting to shut down travel and borders. so we basically had to end the tour.

Then I got home to Seattle, the situation had gotten much worse. so then immediately went into quarantine for 20 days.

This tour felt like I was skiing down a mountain with an avalanche falling behind me that was constantly at my heels.- the other thing about that is that I had direct experience with how much the governments were not doing anything to stop it. literally 6 flights in a row to every hot spot. 5 spots didn’t ask me where I had been. in Toronto, they only asked if I had been to Iran or China. not even they cared that I had come from NYC where it was exploding.

How covid has impacted my community, so far?

Personal friends of mine have COVID a couple of my friends’ families have had relatives die (older people)- this is a scary time for Seattle. It’s like a ghost town outside.
