Erupting from the talented North, Hull band BREEZE are setting the standard for upcoming artists within the Indie world. Formed back in October 2021, brothers Albert, Harry and Alfred Anderson teamed up with mate Declan Rodgers to release their debut single “Touch the Sky”, thrusting the unknown four-piece into orbit and turning heads across the country with their own brand of explosive indie rock. Now a few singles in, the band have released their latest track “She’s Got It” – OUT

We had a chat with Albert Anderson from the band to find out more:
Welcome Albert from BREEZE! Where did the band name come from?
Hi there thank you for having us! The name Breeze came from our dad Richard Anderson we were all trying to come up with a name that we liked something with a spark and my Dad mentioned breeze, and we all instant thought it sounded mega and had a 90s Brit pop vibe!
We love that you guys are from Hull- a fantastic city! Tell us all about the music scene there.
The music scene in Hull is very hidden it doesn’t get the publicity that it should it has some great venues that have made history – for instance the Polar Bear and even the Adelphi club had Pulp play numerous times before fame! However, it’s slowly but surely starting to get more publicity as time is moving on !
Tell us about the town generally – where would you recommend we visit?
If I would visit anywhere in Hull I would go visit the Welly club on a Thursday night ! Great indie night out!
What inspired your new single ‘She’s Got It’? What is the track about?
Our new single She’s Got It was originally written back in ’94 by the Dad of us Anderson brothers in the band! He wrote the song one day in the middle of his room with nothing but a small Marshall amp, a fake Gibson guitar and a packet of cigarettes! The song is about a girl that has everything …
We hear that you love and are influenced by 90’s music but what current bands or artists are inspiring your creativity?
The 90s does play a massive part in our music however I would say we have music inspiration/creativity from all eras in our music. Some artists that really come to mind are Oasis, the Beatles, The Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Kings of Leon!
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
The highlight of our career so far is having supported James Arthur at Bridlington Spa and having the whole audience of 3500 people get their phones out to numerous songs – and waving them in time was unbelievable!
And also being a part of this year’s Y Not Festival Make sure to catch us there!
What other projects do you have coming up?
We are playing at the Adelphi Club on 24th June supporting the Dulvertons, and we are also playing at Y Not festival
2023 ! We do have something else coming up in the pipeline, but all will be revealed in time!
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
Where do we see ourselves in ten year’s time! Hopefully recording our 4th number one album in Abbey Road studios !
