In the small seaside town of Mellow Coast, Emily (Hannah Paterson) is trying to discover what has happened to her father, but as she searches for answers her friends start getting picked off one-by-one by an unknown killer.
There is nothing quite like an ice-scream by the beach and that is exactly what co-directors Alexander Churchyard and Michael Holiday are looking to deliver with their new film – ‘I Scream on the Beach!’ An old school slasher style thriller with a killer twist!
I got a chance to visit the set of I Scream on the Beach! to meet some of the talented cast whilst they were shooting a scene in the bar. Unfortunately, as no blood was spilt on set there are currently no spoilers, but from what I have seen so far I Scream on the Beach! is going to be a lot of fun!
Co-writer/Director Michael Holiday had the following to say about the film:
“I Scream on the Beach! is going to be an over the top horror comedy that pays tribute to the films we grew up watching! We’re both from Southend so it’s important to us to include as many local actors and film makers in the project as we can”
The film has certainly attracted local talent which including Reis Daniel, Andrea Sandell, Hannah Paterson, Rosie Kingston and Jamie Evans who I met on set. The film has also attracted UK Scream Princess Dani Thompson and a cameo from filmmaker and co-founder of Troma Entertainment film studio’s – Lloyd Kaufman
I Scream on the Beach! is currently being filmed in Southend-on-Sea, Essex and will be looking to complete filming in April.
