It’s Rumble in India with Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga – Review

Jackie Chan returns with Kung Fu Yoga as a world-renowned archaeology professor Jack and his team who are going on an adventure with a quest to locate a lost ancient Indian treasure when they are ambushed by a team of mercenaries and left for dead. Using his vast knowledge of history and kung fu, Jack leads his team on a race around the world to beat the mercenaries to the treasure and to save an ancient culture.

Much like many of Jack Chan’s movies, Kung Fu Yoga is packed with his martial arts skill, much like those that you may have seen in his previous films.

Jackie has reunited with Supercop and Rumble In The Bronx director Stanley Tong, for this all out action caper, featuring superb fight scenes, motorcycle chases, ice caves, hidden treasures and a Bollywood-style set-piece finale.

This is a movie that not only has the action of a Jackie Chan movie but also still has those comedic elements that we have all come to know and love in his movies.

Kung Fu Yoga has a mix of Bollywood added in, showcasing veteran movie legend Jackie Chan’s incredible martial arts skills and impeccable comic timing. Filmed in China, Dubai,

The movie was filmed in China, Dubai, India and Iceland giving it some great scenery throughout the film and some very nice vibrant colours, especially in the India locations and a nice use of the blues pallet when in the ice caves, all this makes the film look lovely.

If you enjoy the antics of a Jackie Chan movie, then is certainly for you, it is a film that really won’t have you analysing it too much to follow the storyline, it’s a comedy with several laughs that are outweighed by some nicely choreographed martial arts.

Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga is released on Digital 31st July and on Blu-Ray and DVD 7th August.
