It was an off-chance for me to catch the Freudian slip up from Jeremy Paxman on last nights Newsnight, I don’t usually watch the show, but as I was channel hopping I heard him say the C-Word!
It’s probably an easy mistake to make and now uttering the dreaded C Word on TV or Radio will probably start getting known as “doing a Jeremy Hunt” or even “making a Naughtie!”
Just in case you never got that 😉
Paxman said the country had been occupied by thoughts of “what will the cuts do to us?”
“Supposing some of the people who ought to be paying taxes so the c**** – cuts – aren’t so bad aren’t actually doing so? The tax authorities are apparently chasing many businesses for £15billion for what they believe to be unpaid tax.”
I had to rewind my Sky+ last night just to make sure I heard what I thought I heard, but with Twitter going quite wild over the C Word, it was in no doubt that it was said, but to be honest, it’s an easy mistake to make, but for the Paxman to do it, my God it’s the end of the world 😆
