We’ve been bringing you news about the new film Jitters, which is directed by Marc Zammit, for a while now, and today we bring you our review of the film. It’s time to confront your deepest fears, face every phobia you’ve experienced and every nightmare you’ve ever had, as Jitters takes control and invites you to play his truly twisted game, in a brand-new horror thriller which is out today on digital from Reel2Reel Films.
From Aptitude, the film is written by George Willcox with Marc Zammit (Witch) as director and producer, James Fuller and Richard Oakes co-produce with lead actor Fabrizio Santino (Captain America: The First Avenger, Hollyoaks), who plays the world-weary Detective Collymore. Anto Sharp (Witch) plays Detective Harding, Daniel Jordan (Palindrome) stars as Jitters and are joined by Boo Miller (Bridgerton, The Stand-Up Sketch Show), Jess Impiazzi (Keep Calm & Carry On, Celebrity Big Brother), Lauren Budd (Cinderella’s Curse), Richard Wisker (Flatmates, The Dumping Ground) Ritchi Edwards (Witch, Werwulf) and Chloe Hews (Jinx).
Detective Collymore, a single, divorced father, uncovers a mysterious case surrounding Tiffany’s death, initially presumed natural. Further investigation reveals the horrors of Jitters.
Jitters starts with a scene that is straight out of someone’s nightmares, as Tiffany is seen in a dark tunnel being chased by someone or something, as a voice is heard tormenting her. We then jump to seeing Tiffany’s body slumped in a chair in her apartment.
Detective Collymore takes on the case and tries to get to the bottom of what happened to Tiffany, after talking with Tiffany’s friend, who discovered the body, he discovers that she was involved with a new video game called “JITTERS”.
While working on the case, Collymore also has to keep his relationship with his daughter; this is part of the film that gives us a deeper insight into Collymore’s life in and out of work. During his time with his daughter, he is introduced to Jitters the Clown, a character who is really going to terrify those who suffer from Coulrophobia.
But once introduced to Jitters, the real world becomes a playground for the clown, with strange visions starting to happen to Collymore, which is enough to send anyone over the edge.
Here at Blazing Minds, we’ve been watching the progress of Jitters with behind-the-scenes footage and more. I have to say that even after the coverage, I never expected Jitters to take me on such a bizarre and sometimes terrifying journey.
The film works extremely well to keep you interested and on the edge of your seat to see how everything plays out it what had me pulled in from the start. The mystery of the deaths and the added intrigue of the Jitters game and character work well.
Marc Zammit (Witch) has brought us a well-directed horror/thriller that builds as it plays, with plenty of tension and intrigue. The cinematography from Richard Oaks adds a great look to Jitters and has scenes that work in both dark and light scenes to add enough definition to make things out.
The cast is great to watch, but the scene-stealer had to go to Daniel Jordan, who plays Jitters. He brings to life a character that feels like a mix of Pennywise, Joker and a crazed killer!
Last bit no means least, I’d like to give a mention to Imran Ahmad for the superb soundtrack that adds so much atmosphere to the scenes that it is used in.
If you fancy a thriller with a horror twist, then Jitters is certainly worth checking out, for something can certainly give you chills.
Following its World Premiere on Friday 6 March that saw cast, crew and famous faces out in force, Jitters, from Marc Zammit, is released on digital today, 16 March 2026, from Reel2Reel Films.
