Yes, folks, I’ve been to my local cinema again (Rhyl Apollo), what can I say I’m a movieholic, this time I went to see Johnny English Reborn.
Johnny English Reborn – A Reborn Identity!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 8 years since the first Johnny English movie, so to bring the character back to the big screens may have been a bit of a gamble for its star Rowan Atkinson, but it’s paid off with a laugh a minute movie.
Since we last saw Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) beating the evil Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovich) in a plot to kill the king of England back in 2003, the rather inept and clumsy spy has really fallen on some bad times, with an utter cock-up in Mozambique, the bumbling spy has left the world and retreated to a Tibetan monastery where he is trying to find himself and his spiritual side.
Meanwhile, MI7 are in need of his skills to help them out with a crisis with a plot to kill the Chinese premier, so the head of MI7, Pegasus  (Gillian Anderson) gets Johnny English back on our home shores to thwart the plot and save the day.
Let The Laughter Begin
Now I have to admit I do love the Johnny English character and after hearing he was coming back some time ago, I couldn’t wait to see his return to the big screen and boy I wasn’t disappointed.
Right from the start of the movie my giggle muscles were starting to get a workout and that workout went right the way through the film, if you think Bourne was bad-ass then he’s not a patch on Johnny English.
It’s nice to be able to see a film where the rest of the cinema laughs with you and this is one of those films, but don’t get me wrong this movie flows better than the first Johnny English and seems more polished with the humour seems to come out of the situations that he is in rather from himself.
Who other than Rowan Atkinson could make a hysterical moment from a 60mph wheelchair racing down The Mall in London or sneaking around in a body bag! (It has to be seen to be believed)
Johnny English Reborn Attack Those Chuckle Muscles!
So if you need a break from the bleak times, such as the lack of BlackBerry services 😉 or you just want those chuckle muscles to get a bit of exercise, then you have got to see Johnny English Reborn, it’s funny, daft and is a great homage to James Bond in its own funny way.
