Well, what a first episode to kick start this year’s 20th series of I’m a celebrity get me out of here was on Sunday.
Well day two did not disappoint either. It was on another level fabulous.
It kicked off with all the celebs in bed quietly, until Sir Mo Farrah fell out of his hammock on the floor. So much laughter in the camp when that happened.
Early morning risers on the morning of day two were Shane Richie, Vernon Kay and Sir Mo Farrah.

It was time for campmates to do a couple of jobs around the castle, these included, keeping the boiler going, which Vernon was manning, and AJ and Beverley Callard were dealing with emptying “the privy”, yuck!
Vernon and AJ then got themselves their first camp shower, whilst Jordan was pumping the water through to the watering can, Vernon was taking his shower under the watering can, who then Ant referred to as “Buddy the Elf”, as he was so tall in the shower. Made me giggle.
Later on, the campmates were all starting to feel cold, so Holly suggested they all did some form of exercises to keep them warm. This then led to dancing the macerena, and then Beverley Callard busting some aerobic dance moves, to get the blood flowing. It was so nice seeing the campmates get on, and all join in.
The campmates all seem to be getting on so far, and are interested in learning about each other’s lives, especially Sir Mo Farrah’s. Everyone fell silent, and were engrossed in what he was saying about his career.
Throughout the highlights of the show you do get a lot of humour from Ant and Dec, and it brings so much character to the show, and the reason why it’s lasted so long, with their jokes and one liners.
Early in the day, Ant and Dec were excited about the trial that Jordan and Shane were picked for by the public, as they had put up an Instagram video of their excitement, and telling us not to miss out on the trial called “Viper Vault”, where the clue is in the name.
I have to say in all the series of I’m a Celeb I’ve watched, Jordan was absolutely, genuinely petrified of the trial before it had even begun. At one point he even said to Shane “I can’t do it, I can’t do it”. And as viewers we were left hanging, with a commercial break came, then we were back with them. Shane had then confessed he was scared of closed confined spaces.
But with the encouragement of Ant and Dec, and the support and love both Shane and Jordan showed each other, Jordan decided to do it. I will be honest, I thought as soon as the snakes came in, Jordan would shout for him to get out. But he never. He screamed a lot, and at the beginning was shaking a lot. But he remained fairly focused with his fellow campmates next door to him. He was screaming out now and again “go to your happy place”. They gave it their absolute all. It was nail-biting right down to the last 30 seconds. I even lost count of how many they had at one point.
When they were released from the vaults, Jordan jumped out, and you could see he was sweating profusely, and shaking in disbelief that he had just done that trial. The guys came away with 9 stars, which meant 9 meals for camp. Amazing.
When they were facing Ant and Dec after the trial, and showing and counting the stars out, Ant and Dec asked Jordan where his happy place was, and it was his beloved football club, Burnley FC-Turf Moor.
At one point I did laugh out loud, as Ant told them how many snakes were in with him, which was around 30. Obviously Dec didn’t like the fact he told him, as he thought he would want to come out after knowing how many.
Hats off to Jordan for completing the trial with his absolute fear of snakes, and for him and Shane getting 9 meals for camp.
The bell rang at camp, which meant ingredients were on their way into camp for their meal. And the campmates were already starting to feel the hunger. They were given Eel. Campmates were not impressed. Shane Ritchie confessed in the formerly known telegraph room, that he was winging it, as he didn’t have a clue how to cook it. It wasn’t a very appetising meal for the campmates l, they were far from impressed.
And finally, as always, Ant and Dec always end the show, with revealing from the public vote who will be facing the next bushtucker trial. The public voted for Vernon Kay, Beverley Callard and of course Jordan North again.
This trial is called “Frights at the Round Table”, and judging by the looks of it, it’s an eating trial. One of my favourite trial. Really looking forward to Day 3 of I’M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HEEEERRREEEEEE.

Chrissie loves movies and spends a lot of her time with her kids at the local multi-plex watching a great selection of kids movies.
