INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed Welsh rock star Mike Peters has been announced as the new patron of Venue Cymru, the leading arts and events centre in North Wales.
The announcement was made as Mike and his band ‘The Alarm’ held their sell-out
‘The Gathering’ has been held in North Wales for 27 years and for the majority of those at Venue Cymru. The weekend of music and entertainment attracts fans from all over the world.

“I’ve played some of my favourite gigs here in the past and it’s important that there’s a venue like this in North Wales which attracts
“I think it’s really important that young people are encouraged to perform in large arenas, and that they get the opportunity to see influential bands and plays on their doorstep. I’m proud of Venue Cymru for enabling that to happen.”

Cllr Louise Emery, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “It’s fantastic to have Mike Peters as the new patron of Venue Cymru. He’s a rock star who performs on stages around the world and works tirelessly for charity. We are very grateful for his support for our flagship arts and events centre.”
