I’m bringing you something a little different today with regards to book reviews, Norman the Snail and the Climb is a 24-page book that introduces your little ones to the world of Norman and his adventure.
The story is the first outing for Norman from Simon Henderson. Simon has a degree from the Open University and started writing when he was just fourteen years old and considered this to be his chosen profession, although he currently works in administration.
Simon’s five-year-old son is the most important person in his life and is his main source of inspiration. Simon told us that his, “ambition in life is to bring happiness and enjoyment to as many children as possible in his stories about Norman the Snail“.
I have been dreaming of writing children’s books for many years. I finally got round to it with a character I adore. Mr Stroodles is a happy cat and he wants to help children learn to read….

Norman the Snail and the Climb is Delightful
It’s not very often that a book comes into Blazing Minds HQ that is so quick to read, but this charming and beautifully illustrated children’s book tells the story of Norman the Snail’s adventure over 24 pages of vibrant illustrations from BazMac and story from Simon.
Upon Norman’s adventure to “reach the sky” he meets Chloe the Catapiller and Bill the Bird to reaching the dizzy heights.
Norman the Snail and the Climb is a story that shows young children that if persevere they can succeed, heck it’s also a good example for adults as well to reach for the sky and keep trying for something that you want to succeed in.
This is a lovely book and it’s certainly one that is good for parents to cuddle up with their kids at night to read for a bedtime story, well done to Simon Henderson for a charming, delightful an wonderfully illustrated children’s book.
