It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for this week’s Official Film Chart and this week Peter Rabbit 2 extends its reign as Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, holding off strong competition from Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2.
The sequel to the animated adventure comedy film leads the film Top 40 for a fourth week, while the second instalment of the animated Batman film series vaults 36 places to Number 2 following its release on DVD and Blu-ray.
Meanwhile, The Croods (3), Space Jam (4) and Birds Of Prey And The Fantabulous (5) all hold firm in the Top 5, while a boxset of Peter Rabbit 1 & 2 continues to perform well at Number 10.
This week’s highest new entry goes to Spiral – From The Book Of Saw – the horror film that serves as the ninth instalment in the Saw film series – at Number 12. Further down, To Be Someone – the British film loosely related to the 1979 film Quadrophenia (and starring several members of the original cast including Leslie Ash, Toyah Willcox and Gerry Shail) is new at Number 16.
This week’s Official Film Chart online show features a preview from horror-sequel, A Quiet Place Part 2, available to Download & Keep from August 18 and purchase on 4K Ultra HD+Blu-ray™, Blu-ray™ & DVD from August 30.
