A CIA agent is given the job of after a fugitive in a government-run Safe House, but is soon on the run when the Safe House is attacked and then he is out on his own and in charge of the fugitive.

Safe House – Blazing Minds Film Review
The thing with an action movie is you have to be grabbed and thrown back in your seat and Safe House does this with the rather “explosive” set pieces, with some superb chases and pyrotechnics that scream out to you to duck for cover.
So here we have Denzel Washington in a role as the fugitive dealing in something that the CIA is very interested in and Ryan Reynolds as the Safe Housekeeper that in turn ends up on the run with Washington.
Safe House does slow down in parts and this is mainly for the watcher to catch their breath and start putting two and two together, but though this is a good idea the predictability of the film is all too prominent and without giving anything away in this review, the mole is quite obvious and you do pick up on that quite early in the film.
The Hunt Is On For Frost And Western!
So the film is a typical cat and mouse action movie, with Frost (Denzel Washington) on the run with Western (Ryan Reynolds) whilst being chased by a bunch of guys who the two characters don’t know who they work for.
Yes it’s simple to follow and it really doesn’t pack any surprises, but it is an entertaining film with some great set pieces filmed in and around South Africa, though I not sure why we had to have footage of the football match being played in the Stadium as Frost and Western run wild through it!
It’s an enjoyable film that keeps you gripped, though I think there could have been a little more depth to the Frost character and Denzel Washington did seem a little lost on the character and Ryan Reynolds shows that he can play series action parts.
If you want an action movie and an enjoyable night out then Safe House is one to add to your list.
