On Wednesday we arrived at Great Yarmouth for SFW XVI an event that I always look forward to and enjoy with all the amazing guests, attendees and the craziness of shooting the red carpet, awards and the rest of the weekend with some fellow geeks and nerds.
Wednesday saw us arriving after just over 5 hours and heading to our accommodation which was awesome as always before setting up and getting ready for the weekend of exclusive coverage for Blazing Minds, This year I was honoured to be told that I was “Head Photographer” and team member, which I am very honoured to be granted such a wonderful title.
Being at the event a day early gave us a chance to get organised and get to catch up with fellow geeks and nerds as well as prepare for the SFW Awards which will be taking place tonight, keep your eyes peeled for new on those tomorrow as we bring you the winners and some photos from the Red Carpet and the awards.
Today was a chance to meet the SFW Trooper captains, and watch the Who’s Line Is It Anyway? Cosplay Edition was a tribute to Tony Slattery after he sadly passed away earlier this year.
Followed by a Back to the 80s quiz which has Troopers taking on the challenge of some great quiz questions hosted by Trooper Captain Ruth Watson.
All of Team Blazing Minds are looking forward to the SFW Awards and the rest of the Weekender.
