Wait! What! Sharknado 5! Yes, that’s right folks, the franchise that almost everyone loves to hate is back with its fifth incarnation!
The Sharknado movies have been a staple diet of craziness since the first movie had sharks falling from the skies over Los Angeles back in 2013, a year later Sharknado 2: The Second One brought those pesky sharks back to create even more havoc and gory comedy in New York.
2015 saw the aptly titled, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! with the hurricane and sharks over Washington DC! The question after this movie was, “will there be a fourth, surely not!“, then like a category 7 tornado, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, hit our screens with even more craziness than you could possibly imagine, taking the franchise to new depths of pure silliness and people saying, “please no more! Ok, just one more!”
Tara Reid and Ian Ziering are returning to their roles of April Wexler and Fin Sheperd in the 5th movie, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, that will see Fin (Ian Ziering) defending not only his family but also all of humanity, from, yes you guessed it, more sharks!
Sharknado 5 will be yet again directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and will be joined this time around by Scotty Mullen (The Coed and the Zombie Stoner, Zoombies).
All we can say for now is that the info for the synopsis for the film and from the trailer is that much of North America lying in ruins, the rest of the world braces for the inevitable: a global Sharknado. From London to Asia, South Africa to Mexico, Fin and his family must put a stop to the Sharknados once and for all!
Expect lots of crazy things happening in this one, what else would you expect from the franchise, though, Sharknado 5 will be shown on US Syfy channel in August, UK TV showing of Sharknado 5: Global Swarming be will be on Syfy at 9:10 pm on the 7th August.
