Shocking news today as police confirm that singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her Camden home in London at the young age of 27.

It appears that earlier today the police were called to the address in London at around 4PM upon arrival to the property, the police officers found the body of a 27-year-old female at the scene.

Amy Winehouse was born on 14 September 1983 and shot to fame with her critically successful album Frank in 2003 and nominated for the Mercury Prize for her follow-up album Back To Black in 2006.

Though in recent years she had become more known for her antics on and off stage more so than her musical talents.

She died on 23 July 2011 under “unexplained” circumstances and now become another member of the “27 Club” which includes: Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison.


Early Monday morning Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch visited her home and thanked her fans for their tributes saying “I can’t tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier.” He also added that the loss of his daughter has left him “Speechless”

He also told fans that had congregated in Camden Square “Amy was about one thing and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends and to you guys as well,”

Fans have been leaving tributes outside her house along with cigarettes and vodka bottles!

A post-mortem examination into Amy Winehouse’s death will take place later, authorities have confirmed.
