With the news of the new Independence Day 2 trailer recently, we have now been treated to a the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond, which will be transporting in to cinema screens here in the UK in 2016.
This is third outing for the crew of the Enterprise since the reboot of the franchise with J.J. Abrams, but this time the movie is directed by Just Lin (Fast & Furious), with Abrams sitting in the Producer’s chair for what looks like to be another all out Sci-Fi Action movie.
Simon Pegg has put pen to paper to produce the script and if his past scripts are anything to go by, then Star Trek Beyond will have that Pegg humour dotted here and there, we may also see the franchise returning to more how the TV show was.
Reuniting the cast of Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Chris Pine (Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Bones), Anton Yelchin (Chekov) and John Cho (Sulu) on board the USS Enterprise to explore the universe.

Suffice to say we’re not entirely sure what the plot is for Star Trek Beyond, except from what we can see in the trailer and it looks like lots of explosions, aliens and the destruction of a ship!
Star Trek Beyond is due for release in UK Cinemas on the 22nd July 2016.
