I’ve been watching a few short films lately and the latest I’ve been checking out is The Foreboding Fractured from director Kermal Yildirim.
Four university students head out to the woods for a camping trip and get more than they bargained for as a presence in the woods latches on to them for a terrifying ordeal.
When it comes to a film that has a group going into some dark woods and spending the night we all know that something’s going to be coming after the group, The Foreboding Fractured is one of those films that certainly sets you at unease with not only the story and the creepiness but also the way it is shot in the darkness and some nice cinematography that stands up well.
This is a short film that certainly packs a punch with some of the shocks, the presence in the woods is somewhat could easily give some nightmares, although I did have a feeling of Gollum speaking when the supernatural entity spoke, but hey that probably just me!
Running at just under 27 minutes, The Foreboding Fractured adds enough tension to keep you interested in the characters and the story.
It is well worth checking out and seeing what Yildirim will be bringing us next will be interesting.
