It was an early start this morning to travel to Wrexham for this years Wales Comic Con, but thankfully not too early as I only live around 40 miles away.
So as I arrived at Glyndwr University, the home to Wales Comic Con, I was greeting by the size of the queue at the front of the building, so many “Early Birds” getting ready to enter the event, with a few in some amazing costumes.
After a good 15 minutes driving around to find a parking spot, I finally found one and made my way to the main hall to catch up with some friends before it all got a little too busy.

It was nice to have a chat with Sam Stone, David J. Howe, Gareth Wiles and to catch up the lovely Royd Tolkien, before I shot off to check out the other guests that Jaime had bagged for what would turn out to be yet another brilliant day.

And this year, Jaime had got none other than Jonathan Ross signing in the Comic Shop in campus, which was only a stones throw from the main hall!

Wales Comic Con – Where Celebs and Fans Unite
This years Wales Comic Con seemed even busier than the previous one and Comic Con fans seemed to be loving the day, with many grabbing a signed photo of one or more of their favourite actors and finding that a lot of the guests would take the time to talk to them.

I had a nice chat with John Challis about his upcoming projects and how much he enjoyed performing on the stage at some of the smaller venues when it came to the likes of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Catching up with Royd Tolkien was great, meeting him recently at another event and getting advice from him before going on stage was brilliant, this time he caught my eye and called me over for a quick chat (several chats), now my friend did go to WCC2014 as a Hobbit, which was a brilliant outfit, Royd loved it, we did try to get them together, but sadly we kept missing each other, with all that was going on.

Not only did Wales Comic Con have Game of Thrones there again this year, they also had the cast from Atlantis, the lovely Warwick Davis, who was swarmed with fans wanting to chat to him and get his autograph, but this year also included some more interesting guests, including:

And so many more, including wrestlers that believe me were extremely popular during the day, last but not least, my moment of the day, standing on the view-point looking across the main hall, I caught the eye of Storage Hunters very own Jesse McClure and that brief moment that I was glad I took my camera, when he struck a pose for me!

So after I took the shot, I popped down for a chat, what a nice guy and the Comic Con fans were loving him.
And there ends another Wales Comic Con, believe me when I say they get bigger and bigger and more and more of not only the UK stars are appearing at the event, but so many more of the American actors as well, if this year is anything to go by, then the next event will have even more great names, so stay tuned 😉
