Lots of people know about the TV show Most Haunted, here at Blazing Minds we even had an exclusive night watching the first episode of the new series where it was filmed at The Tivoli in Buckley, but what about Scariest Places, the internet TV show that has a team visiting well, Scariest Places!
Take the Cake are the production team behind the show which is a spoof of the Most Haunted TV series, the latest episode of the web series, written by Michael D Roberts, Samantha Franklin and Simon Healy finds the team of Annette Pielding, Merrick Alora, Simon Healy, Carl BT, Chris O’Beef and Dick Feelit for a rather spooky encounter at Pendle Hill.
The episode starts off with an introduction to the what is happening in the episode and that the Scariest Places team will be venturing to Pendle Hill for a 24 hour investigation to uncover the real story of the Pendle Witch Trials. Will they come across genuine phenomillies? or will it be an unexpected surprise…
Scariest Places at Pendle Hill, it’s all Spoofy
The first part of the episode, directed by Michael D Roberts, brings us the brilliant characters telling us all about the goings on at Pendle Hill and the history of the witches, how they became condemned.
I love the way the characters feel so real and yet comical at the same time, they all seem very much like those of Most Haunted, but with that added comical touch that if you wasn’t sure of it being a spoof you would think that it is very serious.
So after an introduction about Pendle Hill we move on to the team coming together to go on the ghost hunt, I do love the Merrick Alora character, think of an exaggerated Derek Acorah, to see what I mean check out when Merrick met Derek.
Just brilliant. Back to the show, over the time that Take the Cake Productions have been doing the shows, they have improved vastly, with the help of a Go Fund Me page the team have been able to improve the audio and visual quality and this can be seen the Pendle Hill episode.
The Scariest Places team have done a great job with the Pendle Hill episode with moments of Merrick pointing out the obvious and Annette rolling along with him to learn what is happening to continue the show along with Merrick’s rather craziness.
Look out for the eggs scene with the narky man, crazy, but so funny. Also look out for the “It’s a spider!”.
If you like Most Haunted then you are going to love Scariest Places, it’s a great parody of a TV show that is watched by millions, I’m looking to seeing more episodes from Take the Cake Productions, I met the cast and crew a few weeks back and they are passionate about the show, so I can see many more coming to their YouTube channel.
