Welcome to another review here on my blog, this time I was recently sent some of the new North Face Hedgehog lightweight women’s speed hiking shoes to give my opinion on, a big thank you to @sylvied from FuelMyBlog and FitnessFootwear for this opportunity. This is part one of my review, with this been an introduction to the shoes and over the coming week I will be testing them out fully and giving my full opinion in part two of the review 😉

I was quite intrigued by the name of these shoes, the name Hedgehog, really got me thinking on what they would be like when I got them out of the box, but I had an inkling on why they might be called, Hedgehog.

So after opening the box, which is coincidently made from 75% recycled material, good for the environment a great start there then 😉 I found these quite amazing looking shoes with what can only be described as quite sturdy, stylish and extremely comfortable and with a heck of a set of grips on the bottom, maybe that’s why they are called a Hedgehog!

As quoted on the info which came with the Hedgehog shoes they have an upper of Gore-Tex XCR waterproof, breathable membrane, should keep my feet from lack of oxygen 😉 Abrasion-resistant, bomber synthetic nubuck and breathable sandwich-mesh upper, OK and a Gusseted tongue, hmmmm 😆

The bottom of the Hedgehog is Compression-molded, lightweight EVA midsole. Injection-molded TPU shank plate. Heel X-202 air pod. Exclusive Vibram outsole, in other words, it’s strong, sturdy and has a heck of a grip 😉

So, I’m going to give these shoes a good bit of wear and tear over the this coming week and then I’ll be posting part two of this review on what I think of the shoes overall and how well they performed 😉

In the meantime why don’t out check out FitnessFootwear Blog for all the latest sports and outdoor shoes news, reviews and previews.
