The Banshees at Alexander’s in Chester – Live Music Review

Usually, I write about my favourite band The Montagues, but this time I will be telling you about the amazing band The Banshees.

The Banshees originate from the land I love the most, Liverpool. “Come on The Banshees”. These guys write amazing music, but seeing them play live is a real treat for you.

The Banshees at Alexander's

They were playing at Alexander’s in Chester on 12th March 2020. They were supporting The Montagues who were also playing that night.

The Banshees are made up of 4 members Vinny Pereira (lead vocals and guitarist), Paul Holligan (guitarist and vocals), Ste Jefferies (Bass guitar) and James Reis (Drummer).

I had never seen The Banshees play live before last night, and I was not disappointed one bit. Just wished they would have been on for longer. Those lads are my only negative!!

They are very professional in what they do, but also love the banter, and leave you wanting more, which I most certainly did.

They played various original songs of theirs including their current single, “It’s Alright”, which I think personally is a right smash hit, absolutely love it. My new fave song.

If you haven’t heard The Banshees before, I would highly recommend checking them out on Spotify etc., they create a real buzz around them when playing, especially live. I can guarantee you will be dancing, toe-tapping to their music.

If I could describe their music, I would say they have an element of The Beatles, The Coral, The Lightning Seeds all rolled into one.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get chance to catch up with the lads after the gig as they had to shoot off, but just want to say thanks for an amazing start to the night, and really hope to catch up with you all properly soon.

You can catch up with all the latest news and gigs of The Banshees via Social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Come back soon The Banshees!
