First of all I have to say that those wonderful people at Build A Bear Workshop are fantastic, they responded to my call and have been fantastic.
Now some of you may remember the blog post I did a little while about the terrible flood that decimated the lives of those living in St Asaph, you may also remember me mentions how awful it was to see a teddy bear floating down the river.
Some little child had lost their furry friend in the flood and this really hit me and started me thinking about other kids that love their bears and have lost them, so I put out a call.
My good friend Rus is a wonderful guy and he had a website called @GeneralSarge, a build a bear that helps children with parents in the forces that are serving away from home.
General Sarge and his furry friends are by @BuildABear, so I contacted Rus (@DrRus)for some advice and then contacted the Build A Bear Workshop for their help and hoped they could help with some bears.
Suffice to say, Build A Bear have been brilliant and they have worked with me on getting some furry friends for the children of St Asaph who have lost their cuddly buddies.
Picking Up The Bears From Build A Bear Workshop In Chester
So today, I travelled to my nearest Build A Bear Workshop which is not far away in Chester to pick up the 10 lil Almond Cubs to give to the children in St Asaph.
Now don’t think that these cute cuddly bears will be going like that to the children in St Asaph, oh no, they are going in their own special condos, keeping them safe and clean ready for some lucky children to give lots of love to this Christmas, one of these lovely “lil Almond Cubs” may have already been allocated to one of the children in St Asaph, so now it’s time to give out the other nine!
Special Thanks To The Kinds Hearts Of Those At Build A Bear
Of cause all this wouldn’t have been possible without those wonderful people at the Build A Bear Workshop and specially to Blaire who has worked with me to get these bears for the Children in St Asaph, also not forgetting the Chester branch of Build A Bear Workshop that helped with the bears and giving the bears loves and wishes.
Thank you Build A Bear Workshop, it goes to show that there is love and kindness in the world and such a wonderful company that has been so generous and caring at this time of year.
Now it’s a case of giving these gorgeous cuddly bears a new home where they can be loved and give some love back to the children that may have lost their bears or who’s parents may be struggling for a Christmas gift for their kids due to the floods.
