The Cineworld Secret Screening 1 headed to Cineworld this November and unlike the previous screenings, this one was not just for Cineworld Unlimited members, it was also open to those that don’t have a Cineworld card.
Here at Blazing Minds we were pondering on what the Cineworld Secret Screening 1 could be and there were so many movies on the way that it could’ve been anything, we are pretty sure that it was NOT going to be Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, but with the past Cineworld Unlimited Secret Screenings being down the Indie Film route and films we’re going to bring you some of the possibilities of what the film could be. But in the end, the movie we saw was the brilliant Le Mans ’66.
Le Mans ’66 (Release Date 15 November) The Cineworld Secret Screening
I hadn’t heard much about this one, then I saw the trailer before a movie a few weeks ago, damn it got me intrigued, American car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford and challenge Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.

Midway (Release Date 8 November)
The story of the Battle of Midway, told by the leaders and the sailors who fought it. Starring Woody Harrelson, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans and directed by Roland Emmerich.
21 Bridges (Release Date 22 November)
Now, this is a movie that I’ve been looking out for since seeing the trailer ages ago, a disgraced detective in the NYPD is given a shot at redemption. The movie stars Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch and J.K. Simmons, it’s directed by Brian Kirk who has directed episodes of Game of Thrones and Luthor.
Le Mans ’66 stars Matt Damon and Christan Bale.
Frozen 2 (Release Date 22 November)
Could the Cineworld Secret Screening really be Dinsey’s Frozen 2! It could be, it’s a possibility that the latest in Disney’s CGI animated movies could be heading out early for a special night, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven leave Arendelle to travel to an ancient, autumn-bound forest of an enchanted land. They set out to find the origin of Elsa’s powers in order to save their kingdom.
Dark Waters (24 January 2020)
This may be a bit of a push to have this one out as a Cineworld Secret Screening this early, but it’s happened before when Cineworld Unlimited Members have had a film previewed a few months before its release. A corporate defence attorney takes on an environmental lawsuit against a chemical company that exposes a lengthy history of pollution. Dark Waters stars Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, William Jackson Harper and Mark Ruffalo.
Jumanji: The Next Level (Release Date 11 December)
Remember when we had doubts about the reboot of the brilliant Robin Willams movie Jumanji, we loved it and now the sequel is on the way and each time I’ve been at the cinema and the trailer comes on the audience loves it. A team of friends return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own but discover that nothing is as they expect. The players need to brave parts unknown, from arid deserts to snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Madison Iseman.
6 Underground (Release Date 13 December)
Everyone loves Ryan Reynolds, so how exciting would it be to see him in the new Netflix movie 6 Underground as the Cineworld Secret Screening! It’s time to meet a new kind of action hero. Six untraceable agents, totally off the grid. They’ve buried their pasts so they can change the future. 6 Underground stars Ryan Reynolds, Adria Arjona and Mélanie Laurent it’s directed by the superb Michael Bay so expect loads of action in this one.
Bombshell (24 January 2020)
Before we get to see the Margot Robbie returning to the big screen as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey, we can catch her in Bombshell, a group of women decide to take on Fox News head Roger Ailes and the toxic atmosphere he presided over at the network.
1917 (10 January 2020)
We love the trailer for this one here at Blazing Minds, two young British privates during the First World War are given an impossible mission: deliver a message deep in enemy territory that will stop 1,600 men, and one of the soldier’s brothers, from walking straight into a deadly trap. 1917 stars Andrew Scott, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden and is directed by Sam Mandes (Skyfall).
Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
Probably a big reach for the Cineworld Secret Screening as the movie isn’t in cinemas until February 2020, but you just never know! After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord. Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Margot Robbie, Ewan McGregor it’s directed by Cathy Yan.
So there you have it a selection of movies that we think could possibly be showing at the first Cineworld Secret Screening on the 4th November that is not just open to Cineworld Unlimited Members but also open to everyone.
