It seemed like forever waiting for FROM Season 3 to arrive in the UK, but with the new series finally arriving on Sky and the cliffhanger from Season 2 finally put to bed, we have been treated to more strangeness from the town that can’t be left and some answers before another cliffhanger leaving wanting more from Season 4 which should be arriving in 2026 (fingers crossed).
Before I head into my review, I thought I would bring you a quick recap. FROM Season 2 ran through another 10 episodes much like the first season and Sherriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) was trying to not only fight off what comes in the night but also had to take on a new busload of newcomers to the village and defend them from the unknown. He also had to go on his own journey of discovery to find out what the heck is going on.
In Season 2, hidden tunnels were discovered beneath the town, suggesting a potential escape route while also exposing greater dangers. The townspeople encountered mysterious symbols and messages, which deepened the intrigue surrounding the town’s origins and the nature of the creatures. Personal relationships were put to the test as trust grew scarce. The season concluded with a cliffhanger, leaving the fate of several characters uncertain.
FROM Season 3 took us deeper into the town’s dark history in greater detail, revealing significant insights into the origins of the creatures that attack only at night. We discover that these terrifying creatures were once human residents who had sacrificed their children for immortality, resulting in their current cursed existence.
With a shocking twist involving Fatima, who believed she was pregnant, she finds out that she is carrying one of these creatures and with this, we learn that there is a horrible process to keep the town’s horrors very much alive.
As with the previous Seasons, FROM Season 3 has been another ride of discovery as well as horror, but with the final season approaching it’s great to see some of the questions that many of us have been asking of the last 2 Seasons being answered.
This season has some nice scary moments that make the hair stand up on the back of your neck, such as the dead children that we have seen on several occasions and a rather scary woman who is trying to get help for Fatima only to take the story on another twist.
As always the cast in the show has been brilliant in bringing the characters to life on the screen, with the introduction of some new ones who keep the show fresh and invites you in to wonder where all this is going to end and what is to come in Season 4. The final cliffhanger in From Season 3 is yet another moment that not only shocks you but has you screaming at the TV, “NO! I need to know what happens!” and “Who is the Man in Yellow?“.
