Gladiator II the long awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 movie triumphs at Number 1 as it makes its UK chart debut.
Extending 2025’s impressive sales streak at the top of the Official Film Chart, Gladiator II earns just under 131,000 sales in its opening week on digital downloads only.
This marks the third consecutive week of a chart-topping film in the UK clocking up more than 100,000 sales, following Wicked’s impressive success earlier this month.
Its Number 1 debut also comes following its predecessor’s own success in November; Gladiator spent a week at the top when Gladiator II entered UK cinemas.
Meanwhile, Wicked slips to Number 2, while Conclave (3) and The Wild Robot (4) are also down one place week-on-week. Despicable Me 4 soars back up 18 places to Number 5, returning to the Top 10 for the first time this year. It previously peaked at Number 2.

Sci-fi horror sequel Alien: Romulus is down one place (6) just ahead of the Top 10 return of Christmas slasher film Terrifier 3, up four to a brand new peak of Number 7.
The Substance rebounds up a massive 28 places this week to land at Number 8, finishing ahead of Venom: The Last Dance (9) and The Wizard Of Oz (10), the latter of which bounces up 10 places.
