We’ve not even mentioned the annual COSPLAY COMPETITION, ADAM’S BIG FAT QUIZ (please bring pens!), PANELS and WORKSHOPS, BOARD GAMES, ROYALTY MEET N GREETS, VIP SIGNINGS, READINGS, the annual craziness of JUST A MINUTE, some FILMS and probably a lot more shenanigans yet to be confirmed …
Add to this a panoply of fun and geekiness, camaraderie, partying, cosplay, as much as you can eat and drink on tap, on site, and your very own spacepod just a stagger away, and we’re hopefully set for another amazing Weekender!
On top of all this, there’s the Thursday night SFW AWARDS for ticket holders only, a red carpet event where we give thanks and accolade to those who have entertained and entranced us over the years (but particularly in 2023), with a special evening of awards and comedy and music and singing … all with side-looks to the terror that is the alcohol!
And the theme for the Awards this time is: STEAMPUNK IT UP!! and/or ILLUMINATUM!!
So get your tickets booked, your shuttles set for March 2024, and we’ll see you all there for the best Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Festival in Europe … SFW! Science Fiction … Fantasy … Warriors!

- SARAH PINBOROUGH will be sharing her insights about page to screen with SAMANTHA LEE HOWE and interviewer TIM RIDEOUT, and talking about her amazing career as an author and screenwriter with Interviewer, IAIN SHAW.
- Bookouture Fantasy writers, GN GUDGEON, BEN ALDERSON and RS MOULES – join us for the first time for panels and readings.
- Media Guest interviews with MICHAEL TROUGHTON with more to be added.
- Panels on horror, crime, thrills, fantasy, SF and more …
- Ending the day with a JUST A MINUTE showdown, featuring Sarah Pinborough, Ian McNeice, Michael Troughton, reigning champ Bryony Pearce and, of course, stunningly jacketed host David J Howe.

- DIY PODCASTING: Join the SFW Troopers for a workshop. How to make a start, how to record, do you need an expensive setup and how to get your work out there. With Iain Shaw, Elliot Byers and James King
- There will be a programmed Children’s Movie slot Friday and Saturday evenings in Spaceport 4.30pm-6pm. (Perfect downtime before supper)
- BEHIND THE SOFA – Fan Panel with Ian Shaw, James King and Elliot Byers
- Adult triple film bill 8pm until late Friday and Saturday. (Chill with our movie triple bill each night – poll for a choice of movies coming soon!)

- AUTHOR READINGS on Saturday 4-5pm.
As usual, this far ahead of the actual show, we do need to caveat that anything and everything could change … guests can drop out, events change, timings change … and so on. We hope everyone understands! But this hopefully gives a sense and a feel of what we’re looking to deliver come March …

As always Blazing Minds will be at Great Yarmouth for the 15th Anniversary of Sci-Fi Weekender and we will also be celebrating the tale end of our 15th Anniversary as well, so I can imagine that there will be loads of celebrating, drinking and partying through to the early hours. Hopefully, I will see you there.
