Hammerfest 7 announces first batch of acts for next Spring’s weekender including US Power metal act Kamelot. (March 12-15th)
It’s always pretty awesome when the news starts coming in on the acts for those music events that you know are going to rock (excuse the pun) and the news today from Hammerfest is they are bringing us “a veritable smorgasbord of talent” from across the globe which will be headed by Thomas Youngblood’s Symphonic Power metal band Kamelot, who bring their unique blend of monstrously epic metal to set the tone for what promises to be another cracking edition as Hammerfest celebrates its Seventh year with a Pirate Metal themed event.
Kamelots – Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)
As with the Sci-Fi Weekender, which Blazing Minds has covered several times and will be covering again next year, Hammerfest now has its regular home at Hafan Y Mor Holiday Park, Pwllheli , Gwynedd, North Wales. Several Hammerfest favourites will be returning headed by stoner metal legends Orange Goblin who seem to be going from strength to strength at the moment.
Joining them are two of the best Viking Metal acts around, Norway’s Einherjer and Iceland’s Skálmöld both of whom we are sure will be going Viking from the moment their longships arrive on our fine shores.
Also making a return to Hammerfest will be three Hammerfest regulars Evil Scarecrow, RSJ and L.A. gypsy metal act Viza – all of which hold a special place in the Hammerfest regulars hearts.
Also joining next spring’s event are British Heavy metal favourites Angel Witch who never fail to excite.
If that’s not enough, Hammerfest are also pleased to welcome Italian Folk/Power Metal act Elvenking , France’s biggest Industrial Metal act Mass Hysteria , Norway’s Doom Metal act Sahg, Swedish Melodic death metal act Darkane, English Black metal act Winterfylleth, Hang The Bastard and The King Is Blind to wrap up our first announcement.
