That’s right folks, it’s not long now until the weekend and two fantastic Musical Events at the Rhyl Events Arena are on their way for all the family to enjoy.
And yes, Blazing Minds will be there for the Sunday event to bring you exclusive photos, live tweets and so much more, as we have been granted complete Access All Areas for the Proms on the Prom.
So first off is the Proms on the Prom and this year has a great choice of artists performing such as Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro, former Britain’s Got Talent finalists Richard and Adam, as well as home-grown talent Rhys Meirion, Piantel, Graffiti Classic and Sioned Terry.
The Proms on the Prom is all happening at the Rhyl Events Arena and is free for everyone to enter, it starts at 12pm and finishes around 4pm. The Proms on the Prom events have always been a fantastic event to see and this year looks like it’s going to be no exception, with such a great line up and so much more going on, it is certainly an event that all ages will enjoy.
The second event that is taking place, is the first ever Gwyl Ger y Môr, a celebration of Welsh culture which takes place on the Holiday Monday and again is at the Rhyl Events Arena, this is another free event will be held between 12pm and 8pm. The artists confirmed are Bryn Fôn, Gwibdaith Hen Fran, Y Moniars, Piantel, Meinir Gwilym, Sunami and Gildas.
There are also lots of entertainment etc for all the family and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Jamie Groves, Denbighshire’s Head of Communication, Marketing and Leisure, said: “We are delighted to be staging two such prestigious events at the Events Arena.
“Proms on the Prom is an established festival which attracts the crowds and we are hoping for a great turn out again this year. This mix of music styles should appeal to a wide audience.
“Gwyl Ger y Môr is first for the Council and has been arranged to celebrate and promote Welsh culture.
“As a Council we have made a firm commitment to enhancing the use of the Welsh language in our county and encouraging residents and visitors to gain a better understanding of Welsh culture and traditions.
“We now have a greater focus in Denbighshire on attracting and arranging major events that will assist in promoting Welsh culture, but also ensuring that local businesses and the wider Denbighshire economy benefit from our new approach.”
So as you can see a packed weekend at the Rhyl Events Arena this weekend, don’t forget we will be at the Proms on the Prom, running around working hard as always to bring you some tasty exclusives.
