As many of you know here at Blazing Minds we are massive supporters of Sci-Fi Weekender and over the years we have attended the events without failure from the first time they set up a Geek Camp at Pwllheli in North Wales to the movie to the new location in Great Yarmouth, so you can imagine how excited we are to hear the news that SFW XIII is taking place in November and is packed with some great Sci-Fi guests.
With the return of the Weekender after the dreaded COVID 19 postponing previous years, the organisers have told us that the event will be more UK guest based than previous events, the return of the SFW Awards is also happening, the last one was a blast and I was honoured to be asked to shoot the SFW Awards back in 2020, I do believe that I will be returning to the Red Carpet for some exclusive coverage again this year, so keep those eyes peeled.
Sci-Fi Weekender 13 (SFW XIII) Guests
The return of SFW sees some great UK guests teleporting into the Geek Camp including Madeleine Smith (Eureka, The Amazing Mr Blunden), Annette Badland (Doctor Who, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Ian McNiece (Doctor Who, The Sandman) and the one and only Brian Blessed (Flash Gordon, Star Wars: Episode One.
Other guests popping along to chat with fellow geeks and nerds on and off the stage will be Andrew Lee Potts, Keith Barnfather, Raven Dane, Kathryn Evans, Mark Iveson, J.R. Park, Bryony Pearce, Matt Shaw, Jeff Cummings, Professor Elemental, John Robertson: The Dark Room, Graeme Harper, Derek Martin and Noelle Holten.
Blazing Minds will be heading to SFW XIII
It’s been three years since Blazing Minds was last at Camp SFW and I’m so pleased to announce that we will be heading back to Great Yarmouth to bring you more exclusive coverage from the superb event, we will be chatting with guests and attendees during the weekend of geekiness, and with a bit of luck and good WiFi/Network coverage, we will also bring you some live social media updates while we are there.
