So that was the question I asked on Facebook and Twitter, I was interested to see how people remember soundtracks to films and from the responses it actually shows something interesting about movie soundtracks.

I did get a fair few answers coming in on the likes of Twitter and Facebook and it was interesting to see which soundtracks that people remember from the films that they have seen over the years,
So I thought I would bring you just a collection of some of the Tweets and Facebook updates that I received t the question:
What is you favourite movie soundtrack?
Bladerunner, a favourite of mine as well.

As I mentioned earlier, I asked for people’s favourite movie soundtracks on Facebook as well and thankfully I got some great responses from everyone on my personal page and on the Blazing Minds page.
Mark Chesterton, replied with The Blues Brothers, that classic comedy with Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi.
Lucy Bunn, Angela Garner and Jay Hill all came up with The Lost Boys, which does have a great soundtrack and one of the ones that I listen to quite often.
Steve Rastin chose that Tim Burton’s classic stop-motion movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Aaron Griffith went for Empire Records which features Gin Blossoms, Edwin Colins, Evan Dando, Coyote Shivers and many more.
David Howe went for one that I haven’t seen (shocking isn’t it), he went for Suspiria, now you know that I’m just going to have to track that one down now David 😉
David Burke took us to some great tracks on the funny, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, “Station!”
Simon Clough chose Iron Eagle which does features some pretty amazing tracks from artists such as Queen and Dio.
Andrew Wright mentioned 2001: A Space Odyssey, now that is a good choice, superb classical music for a classic mind-bending film.
Craig Miller, never let’s me down and he also went with the brilliant Lost Boys, saying “its a classic album which has stand alone hits on it not just fillers”.
Thomas Nielson went with a few, Iron Eagle, Top Gun and Robin Hood (Kevin Costner version from 1991). “Those soundtracks bring back a lot of great memories from my younger days”.
William O’Connell lead with one of my many favourite soundtracks, Legend (Tangerine Dream) and Cat People (G. Morodor), saying “great soundscapes”.
So there you have it everyone, just a collection of some of the soundtracks that people like, but lets not stop there!
