SciFi Weekender Preparing For The #SFW4 Event

So a little while back I posted that I’ll be going to this year’s SciFi Weekender, It’s getting closer to the event now, which is on 1-3 March in Pwhelli, so time to get everything ready for the weekend.

The other night I sat down with my good mate Lee (Point And View), who will join me at the SciFi Weekender and will be doing the photographs of the event as we cover it, Suffice to say the excitement is ever-growing and I can’t wait to get down there.

Preparing For The #SFW4 SciFi Weekender

Our schedules are printed out and we’ve marked off some of the parts of the event that we are really looking forward to, such as Craig Charles DJ’ing, Brian Blessed introducing the movie Flash Gordon, films to watch with other SciFi fans, loads of Q&As and hopefully some exclusive interviews and photos with some of the stars, writers and producers etc that will be there over the 3 days.

Now all that’s left to do is work on my own questions for those that I will be hopefully interviewing, organise a meet-up with some of the authors that I’ve tweeted with over the last couple of weeks and make sure I’ve made my checklist of the gear that I have to take with me on the weekend.

Packing Up The Gear For The SciFi Weekender

As with any event in this modern digital age, it’s a case of remembering chargers for all my kit, which will include my iPhone, Nexus 7 and Nikon D3100. Suffice to say my camera is for those quick shots of things I see and Lee will be the main photographer for the weekend, he is the pro after all.

Exclusive Photos And Articles From SciFi Weekender Here On Blazing Minds

Now if all goes to plan, I will be able to get some tweets going out during the weekend on my Twitter, @BlazingMinds, if there is a WiFi connection, I’ll be able to get some articles up on the blog which will be tweaked upon getting home after the weekend.

As I mentioned earlier, Lee will be taking some amazing photos and he will most probably be tweeting from the event as well through his Twitter, @PointAndView.

Both of us will be using the official hashtag, #sfw4 if we remember to. So please follow us and you’ll see us tweeting from the event, we may even answer some of your questions, hopefully during the weekend the hashtag will start to trend, now that would be awesome 😉
