Sci-Fi Weekender – Instagram Stories and Twitter with #BMLiveSFW

Well, folks, SFW9 is almost upon us, in a few days the Blazing Minds team will be heading over to Hafan y Mor, affectionately known as Geekcamp by many, for this year’s Sci-Fi Weekender for lots of geek and nerd moments, amazing guests, Q&A sessions, awesome cosplayer, traders galore and so much more.

I’ve been going to the event in Pwllheli, North Wales, since SFW4 and it’s now become a staple diet of my yearly pilgrimage to the holiday park, far, far away. As with the last few years, Blazing Minds will be bringing you the news of the event with exclusive photographs and articles, but this year we are going a little bit further, we’re going to making the most of Instagram Stories and video via Twitter, maybe even Facebook Live, so we have our own hashtag for the event for you to keep an eye out for, #BMLiveSFW. don’t forget the #SFW9 hashtag as well.

So you can imagine that it’s going to be a busy time for the team that is heading to Pwllheli on Thursday morning, the three-day schedule is packed to the nacelles with guests, music, signings, films, Q&As and so much more, I’m particularly looking forward to chatting with Emily Booth, Blues Harvest and Darth Elvis as well as some of the other guests that are attending this year’s Sci-Fi Festival.

We are hoping that the WiFi this year will be up to scratch and will be able to cope with the demand of thousands of geeks and nerds as they share their pictures and updates via social media, but I’m sure that the Chic team over at SFW Camp have made sure that we can all fill the media waves with plenty of geek stuff.

So remember the hashtags dear readers #BMLiveSFW and #SFW9, let’s hope that we can get one, if not both, of them trending during the weekender, which would be amazing for the event. As you can expect, I will probably not have all the time to post up here on the website during the event, but I’ll certainly do my best, but keep an eye on the Blazing Minds social media for anything that myself and the team get posted, we’ll try to bring you as much as we can and hopefully some exclusives as well.

Hang there’s more!

With the news that next year is the 10 anniversary for Sci-Fi Weekender, it’s our this year (just saying lol), we’re hoping to be able to bring you some gossip on possible guests for the SFWX next year, so keep a look out for those if and when we have them.
