Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2
The gang return to our cinema screens in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the other night I popped over to Cineworld in Broughton to check out the movie in RealD 3D during the midnight screening.
It was a gamble for the studio when they released the first movie back in 2014 and it was a gamble that paid off big time as the movie became so popular that fans just wanted more from the Guardians. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 brings back Peter Quill (played by Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel).
John Wick Chapter 2
After returning to the criminal underworld to repay a debt, John Wick discovers that a large bounty has been put on his life.
How do you top a movie that has Keanu Reeves in probably one of the best roles he has been given in years? Well you make a “Chapter 2? and you make it even more exciting, action-packed and a thrill seeker’s dream right from the moment that the film starts and then doesn’t give up on the aforementioned action!

Molly’s players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknown to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defence lawyer Charlie Jaffey (Elba), who learned there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led people to believe.
Thor: Ragnarok
Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok, the prophecy of destruction to his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization, at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela.
Detroit
Amidst the chaos of the Detroit Rebellion, with the city under curfew and as the Michigan National Guard patrolled the streets, three young African American men were murdered at the Algiers Motel.
A police raid in Detroit in 1967 results in one of the largest race riots in United States history. The story is centred around the Algiers Motel incident, which occurred in Detroit, Michigan on July 25, 1967, during the racially charged 12th Street Riot. It involves the death of three black men and the brutal beatings of nine other people: seven black men and two white women.
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), Detroit is a movie that grabs your attention right from the opening credits with their animated form bringing you some fact on history before bringing us to the moment shortly before the everything goes pear-shaped.
